Schwinn Steel Floor Pump with Gauge

Product Description

Featuring the Schwinn brand Americans have trusted for over one hundred years this pump is large enough to output the needed air pressure quicker and easier. Bicycle tires and tubes require a fixed pressure per square inch (PSI) to function safely and at best performance. Home bicycle pumps allow riders to maintain this conveniently without costly or lengthy trips to the nearest service station. With steel construction and a gauge to test pressure, this pump makes perfecting the ride as simple and convenient as having a full pit crew living in the garage. PTI Sports products are designed with safety as the first and foremost concern and are constructed of high quality parts and materials to prevent degradation over time. Thoroughly tested, our products last through years of use before they are recommended for replacement, ensuring safe cycling for years to come.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad pump if you have presta valves, September 30, 2009

I bought this pump at a Walmart and, like others have said, it could not pump up my road bike tires (presta valves). The nozzle kept flying off of the valve and would not stay on the valve long enough for the tire to be inflated. It would only inflate the tire halfway, until it got difficult to push down and then the nozzle would fly off with each hard pump. I returned it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Escaping air = unpumped tires and tired man, October 22, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Schwinn Steel Floor Pump with Gauge (Sports)
This piece of trash didn't pump the tires, which was no surprise as I heard and felt air escaping from the main shaft (or whatever you call the thing that the rod goes into). To add insult to injury, the lube bubbled out of the shaft and got all over my clothes and bike! Now that I am back to review, I notice the price went up 4.39 from when I bought it! Crazy, don't buy!
