You just plug it into the wall and stick one of the air nozzles right into the air plug. It came with 4 different sizes I believe, worked great very happy with my purchase! This type of pump produces high volume at low pressure; for pumping tires a different type of pump is needed. Unlike other electric pumps that required 24 hours to charge, this one worked right out of the box. Just plug it in and attach the right hose/nozzle for your job and it goes to it.No frills on this model though. No car adapter (but you can always get that separately) and there's no way that this thing can run unless it's near an outlet (but you can always attach an extension cord).
